Promo Items People Actually Use!

Does anyone clean their house or apartment during the pandemic? Or just regular old-fashioned spring cleaning? I have and it inspired me to write this blog about the kind of promotional items that had staying power as I cleaned my apartment. While cleaning it seems natural that cheap promotional products would get tossed but that was not always the case for me. Now, just because a plastic cup with a logo on it was tossed does not mean it didn’t serve its purpose, but I wanted to touch on a few items that had me leaving them in the keep pile.
Magnets and Chip Clips: Maybe this is just me but I seem perpetually low on magnets and chip clips (or magnetic chip clips!!). I think this is a good (and low cost) promotional item that might get actually used and keep your name in their head for a long time!
Quality Pens, Pencils and Notepads. The further removed I am from college the less I seem to have this type of item and they are always useful.
Hand Sanitizer and Cleaning Wipes. Even post-pandemic, I think these are unlikely just to be tossed.
T-Shirts. I find myself keeping all my newer shirts regardless of where I got them. Even if your promo shirt is relegated to a workout or sleep shirt it still has some staying power with some customers.

Water Bottles and Mugs. I think these do make great promos, but they need to be something someone will be excited about. Most people already have favorite (or expensive) water bottles and mugs so if you have one made that you want them to hold on to, I would make sure it has a little something extra so it has a chance to be used and not just relegated to the trash or back of the cupboard.
Bags. Similar to #1 - many people will already have some favorites so I would spend a little extra if you go this route and get an extra large or sturdy bag that someone might use for a while!
It doesn’t necessarily mean there is a wrong or right answer to what you purchase but perhaps it will give you some insight when you’re choosing your perfect item.
