Small Business Saturday
Small Business Saturday takes place on November 26th this year. Here’s how you can prepare your business for the shopping event:
Prepare Your Staff
With an expected increase in business throughout the shopping event, your staff should be well versed on the proper customer service protocols to follow, important product information they should share, and any other details you deem pertinent to the customer experience. By making sure that each employee is confident and comfortable before the big day, you’ll be able to relax knowing everyone is prepared.
Prepare Your Store
Prepare for both virtual and in-person. For those hosting the holiday event in a physical location, clean up the space, have disinfectants and other necessary cleaning supplies nearby, and ensure inventory is fully stocked and product placement is how you’d like it to look on that day.
For your digital store, the same holds true. Your discounts and Calls to Action should be clear and concise, product availability and inventory up to date, and plenty of employees on standby via phone or email to assist with any questions.
Promote the Event on Social Media
A helpful way to build excitement and maximize sales opportunities throughout the event is to start posting special discounts, promotions, and giveaways in the days leading up to November 26th. Not only will this serve as a reminder for your existing audience that they should stop by or visit your website, but it can also help to attract new customers.
Happy Small Business Saturday!
