It's Halloween!

Continuous carbonless forms have pretty much become dinosaurs, having been replaced by cut sheet carbonless, which is more economical and easier to use.  You can either have the forms professionally printed (print.oexusa.com) or, to save even more money, you can print them yourself.  It's really not a difficult process - let me walk you through it.

Back in the spring, I wrote a review of a new product - the Safco Onyx Powered Monitor Stand - and we gave one away as the grand prize in our 30th Anniversary Trivia Contest.  (You can read that review here.)  The winner of the contest recently wrote to me to tell me that he gave the monitor stand to his wife.  She is using it as part of her scrapbooking set up and he says she absolutely loves it! 

It's that time of year - time when people start their Christmas shopping.  (What's that?  You started yours in July, you say?)  People will stream into Toys 'R Us, Meijer, Walmart and Target stores across the country looking for good deals on everything from clothing to electronics and toys and will stash them away for a couple of months.

My son turned 18 years old a couple weeks ago.  He is now legally an adult - off to college, learning how to be responsible for every aspect of his life.  I have one piece of advice to give to him that I wish someone had given to me when I was his age.  I don't know who really said it - there seems to be a bit of disagreement out there.  Sometimes it is attributed to Harley Davidson, other times to Anonymous.  Regardless of the author, it is a lesson I hope he heeds.  

We all know the golden arches.  I LOVED McDonald's as a kid - they had the best french fries around, bar none.  Well, they've changed their fry recipe and I only eat there once in a blue moon now (healthy living and all that stuff.........).  But, for all you Mickey D's fanatics, I have an interesting trivia question today.

Everything in life goes in a cycle.  Many years ago, document scanners were the hot thing to have.  Then they became integrated into all-in-one printers and the stand-alone scanner became a bit of a dinosaur.  Now, everything that is old is new again and stand-alone scanners are hot. You see them in just about every doctor's office - the receptionist scans your license and insurance card along with the other paperwork for your visit.  My accountant scans all our tax receipts and W-2's, etc. when we come to see him each year. Personally, I have an AIO printer at home and a portable page scanner as well.

There are a variety of formats, ranging from flatbed scanners and sheet-fed scanners to page scanners and business card scanners.
