Should You Pay For Assembly When You Purchase Furniture?
I'm an intelligent person. I've spent quite a few years on this planet already. I have a college degree and I consider myself capable. When I moved out of my parents' house into my first apartment, I saved money by purchasing ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture and I single-handedly assembled my bedroom dresser, nightstand and entertainment center.
Without power tools.
I read the directions, followed them, and did it myself. My hands were blistered and sore for quite a while afterward, but I did it myself.

Creative Uses for Rulers
Create a Working Cafe!
Every office needs a kitchen/breakroom - a place for employees to relax and eat lunch, with essentials like a microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator, etc. Creating the relaxing atmosphere is done in part by the furniture in the room. Ask your self these questions:
- Are the tables in your breakroom large enough for multiple people (and conversations)?
- Are there enough tables to accommodate everyone who may be on lunch at the same time?
- Are the chairs comfortable?
If the answer to these questions is "no," take a look at some of the items we're featuring this week:

Product Quick Take: Mobile Laptop Caddy
Our world is built around technology. Twenty years ago the "must have" items for business professionals were Palm Pilots (remember those?) or a Blackberry. Now, just about everyone has a smartphone, tablet or laptop computer and we take them everywhere we go. Today's Product Quick Take is a great item for today's business lifestyle - the Lorell Mobile Laptop Caddy.
What is Your Philosophy on Success?
Today's world concentrates on success. We teach our children that getting good grades is necessary to get into a good college and good grades in college are necessary to get a good job. Work hard at that job and you'll get raises and promotions and you'll be successful and achieve the American Dream. We like winners. We can recite the winners of sports championship games like the Super Bowl, or World Series, TV show winners like American Idol, Survivor or Dancing with the Stars, or the Best Picture Oscar. Theodore Roosevelt won the presidential election in 1904. He was "successful." Who did he defeat - do you know? I didn't. Does that mean the other candidate wasn't successful?
ID Badge Reels - The Best Solution For Safety
If you work for a company that requires you to swipe an ID badge to obtain access to various parts of the building, you understand the importance of having that badge easily accessible. You need it within easy reach and visible to others. The solution? Lanyards or badge reels - that's what everyone uses.
Lanyards are more common, but they do present a safety issue for some job positions. They are very loose-fitting, swing around a lot, and can easily catch on something - potentially causing serious injury.
Credit Card Theft - Are You Prepared?
Thieves get more ingenious every day. When we find a way to foil them, they come up with a new scheme. Does that mean we should stop being careful? Quit locking our doors? Not watch when we're in a dangerous area? Of course not.
In the area of identity theft, thieves no longer need to steal your actual credit card - all they need is an RFID scanner and they can steal your credit card information just by walking past you if you aren't protected.
Here's a simple product that can help thwart those attempts - the Quality Park RFID Blocking Credit Card Sleeve.

Are Your Chemical Labels GHS Compliant?
The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals is a worldwide initiative to promote standard criteria for classifying chemicals according to their health, physical and environmental hazards. It uses pictograms, hazard statements and the words "Danger" and "Warning" to communicate hazard information on product labels and safety data sheets in a logical and comprehensive way. The primary goal of GHS is better protection of human health and the environment by providing chemical user and handlers, emergency first responders and the public with enhanced and consistent information on chemical hazards (www2.epa.gov).
Allergy Season is Upon Us - Stock Up on Essentials
Spring has sprung, trees and flowers are starting to bloom! The grass is growing - and so are the sneezes, itches and watery eyes associated with allergies. Pollen is actually present all year round, but it's much worse at this time of year. You might have allergy meds on hand, along with lots of hand soap and facial tissues.
Yes, this is definitely not the time to run out of facial tissues and we've got a great item for you - the Kleenex zip half pack.
Trivia Contest - Win a Prize!
I recently bought a new car and it came with a trial subscription to OnStar and SiriusXM Radio. I've always wanted OnStar, so the only decision there is which plan I'm going to subscribe to. On the other hand, I'm not a channel changer on the radio - my radio basically stays on one station all the time - so the SiriusXM is one expense that I won't have after the trial is over. I just don't need it.
Or so I thought.
After looking at the station lineup, I discovered that they have comedy channels and country channels and a Broadway channel and pop stations and..and... and the list goes on! I now have 11 - count them, 11 - presets on my radio. I am L O V I N G it! They even have stations dedicated solely to a particular decade.
One day I was listening to the 70's on 7 station, when one of my favorite songs from that era came on and I was singing it the rest of the day. Just couldn't get it out of my head. So guess what our topic is today?
New Product Review - Auto Tape Dispenser
One of my favorite desk accessories used to be my 3M Pop Up Tape Dispenser. It's a tape dispenser that uses pre-cut strips of tape and when it came out I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. It's a one-handed operation - no more holding the dispenser with one hand and tearing the tape with the other (all while trying to hold closed the item you're trying to tape). All you had to do was pull the strip with one hand and the other hand could be holding the item you're taping. It made things faster and more efficient. It even came in a handband version that was great for wrapping gifts.
So why isn't it my favorite anymore? Because after a short while, I started having problems with the quality of the refills. I'd pull a piece of tape out and the next one wouldn't pop up. And when you opened it up to fix it, it was very difficult to separate the pieces of tape to feed the next one through the opening. I thought it was just one bad refill, but it kept happening with each new pack I bought, so eventually I gave up trying. I still loved the idea though.

Problem Solvers - Dissolvable Labels
How many times have you purchased an item and tried to take the label off of it, only to get frustrated when it won't come off all the way (or at all)? AAARRGH! I hate that! It comes off in strips and you can't peel the rest of it off. Or, if you do get it off, it leaves a bunch of gunk behind that never completely disappears. It's especially maddening when it's a piece of glassware.
MACO Label has a line of dissolvable labels that solves this problem.

My son was home from college on break last month. He's majoring in physics and when he starts talking about that, I'm lost. Since I'm always looking for trivia topics, the fact that I have little clue what he's talking about led me to think about game shows. Which, of course, led me to today's topic. I'll go easier on you than he did on me though. Today's topic is:
